Smouha Sporting Club (Arabic: سموحة الرياضي, Your Highness Sporting Club) is an Egyptian football club based in the neighborhood of Smouha, Alexandria, Egypt. It was founded in 1949 by Joseph Smouha.

History

The Smouha Club is active in other activities including swimming and gymnastics.

In football, Smouha finished in second place in the 2008-09 Egyptian Second Division season . They were close to being promoted to the Egyptian Premier League, but they lost their final match against Kafr El-Zayat, so Mansoura was promoted instead. Smouha did not waste the opportunity in the next season though. In the 2009-10 Egyptian Second Division Smouha secured promotion to the 2010-11 Egyptian Premier League after an incredible 7-1 win against Abu Qair Semad on 28 April 2010.[2] Smouha will be playing in the Egyptian Premier League for the first time in its history. The current president of Smouha sporting club, is the Egyptian Millionaire and parliament member Mohamed Farag Amer owner of the Faragallah food Merchandise, Farag also contributed to the success and the fame of this sporting club, he along with the former vice president of Smouha sporting club , Doctor Abdel Moneim el Seginy who stayed as vice president of the club for over 20 years, and contributed in the development of the club through these years.
